This CD gives the listener the opportunity – until now a rather rare one – to hear Giuseppe Verdi’s music in the guise of chamber-music transcriptions for flute and piano, opening with a work for solo flute by the Italian composer Paolo Furlani. Arcadio Baracchi and Andrea Trovato display the lyricism and virtuosity that typically peppered these fantasies and paraphrases.
